Happy Teachers Change the World

This Wake Up Schools Level I Retreat will be offered in English by Tineke Spruytenburg and Miles Dunmore. It is directed towards all those involved in education: teachers and school administrators. It is open for both beginners and experienced practitioners.

The main focus of the retreat will be on:
– Guided sitting and walking meditation, mindful eating and deep relaxation in order to develop and deepen our personal experience of mindfulness.
– Reflection over what it means to act mindfully in our everyday interactions in school life.
– Study of the book ‘Happy Teachers Change the World’ by Thich Nhat Hanh and Professor Katherine Weare.
– Mindfulness strategies that can be implemented in the class room and in schools.
