Join the Global Launch Event for the School of Interbeing
In an age when powerful technological and social forces are pulling children toward isolation and fear, how do we educate the next generation to experience interbeing, our deep connection to one another and to the natural world?
Join Jon Kabat-Zinn, Kaira Jewel, and Brother Phap Luu in dialogue, moderated by Meena Srinivasan, for a timely conversation exploring a bold educational vision: Educating for Interbeing. Together, they bring decades of lived practice, teaching, and leadership in mindfulness and education within the Plum Village community and beyond, and will explore why educating for interbeing is essential to the future of education.
Inspired by the teachings of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh, the School of Interbeing is an emerging K–8 laboratory school opening in Southern California. Rooted in contemplative education, social and emotional learning, academic excellence, ecological literacy, and applied ethics, the school is designed to serve families locally while also sharing its learnings globally, helping to cultivate a wider movement of educating for interbeing.
