Kids and teens, share your stories

Dear Sangha friends, kindly share the following message with children and teens in your practice communities. Thank you!

Dear kids and teens,

Do you like to write? Do you like to draw, paint, or take photos? The Mindfulness Bell and Wake Up Schools want to hear from you!

The Mindfulness Bell is a magazine about how to live in awareness, compassion, and peace. Wake Up Schools helps to bring happiness to teachers, students, and school communities all over the world. Both are inspired by the Zen master and peace activist Thich Nhat Hanh.
We want to hear from kids and teens who care about making the world a better place. Please share your personal stories, poems, artwork, or photos that show:

  • friendship, love, compassion, or joy
  • peaceful ways to handle anger and resolve conflict
  • harmony between people, animals, and nature
  • transformation of difficult emotions
  • the Two Promises or the Five Mindfulness Trainings

We will consider publishing your writing or art in the Mindfulness Bell or on the Wake Up Schools website. Written submissions can be very short or up to 1,000 words.

Be sure to tell us your full name, your age, and where you live.

Please email your submission to: editor@mindfulnessbell.org or info@wakeupschools.org

We will be happy to hear from you!

With gratitude,

The Wake Up Schools Office Team
